Halloween Zombies 2017

There is magic in the night when pumpkins glow by moonlight.

Happy Halloween! I wanted a fun goofy concept and was drawing a blank, it’s usually the only time of year I attempt hand drawn nailart. When I saw these nail plates on Whatsupnails, it gave ideas and this is it…..more or less.

Polishes used for gradient Pure Ice Shore Bet (base) Zoya Pippa, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, Pure Ice Rumors, Essie Stylenomics, Essie Kimono-over, Anise Sea Gypsy.

Stamped With Lina Spooklicious 01 plate & Whats Up Nail A012 plate using polishes China Glaze Best Ponies Forever & OPI Silver Canvas.

I mattified it OPI Matte Top Coat

Purple Royalty Watermarble

Hello Everyone! Purple is the color of royalty or do they say. I needed a fast watermarble so used a container that I could easily dip five fingers in and not get a mess.

Polishes used for watermarble OPI Cosmo-Not Tonight Honey!, Planks A Lot, Eiffel For This Color. OPI My Private Jet for accent nail and rhinestones from eBay.

St Patrick’s Day Clover

Hello Everyone! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This year I went with something a lot less dramatic than last years mani even though it was definitely more fun.

It started out like this.

and I didn’t quite like it for some reason, so it ended up like this.

For this mani I did base using Zoya Shawn and on top of that I applied OPI’s The Man With The Golden Gun.  For the watermarble I wanted a marble small enough to fit a little over half the nail and not hide the nail color under it. So I filled up most of the outer rings with Pipedream Polish Clearwater and then added the other four drops of polish to form the petals.

Polishes used ​Zoya Shawn (Base), Zoya Hunter & Jace (Watermarble), Zoya Goldie, Pipedream Polish Clearwater, OPI The Man With The Golden Gun.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, don’t drink suspicious green beer and don’t go home with Leprechauns but have fun anyway.

Purple and Yellow Watermarble

Hello Everyone! ​Are skulls only for halloween? Umm no, no they’re not. This wavy watermarble started out as an idea that didn’t quite work out because some of the other colors bled too much……you’ll see what I mean.

On the pointer and middle fingers you can see some bleeding of the purple polish, there are ways to minimize this from happening. Let the polish spread as much as possible when dropped on the water or adding fewer polish drops. And sometimes nothing helps so just rock it anyway

Halloween Graveyard 2015

Hello Everyone, I hope Halloween was fun for you if you took part. It’s probably one of the few times I hand draw nail art, and I wouldn’t got traipsing through this grave yard after dark.

I did a gradient for the background, the cat and bats are decals.

The Last Adventure (bottom),

Zoya Pepper (Inner edges),

Orly Liquid Vinyl (outer edges),

Phantom Frights Black Stripper for trees.

It was my first time using Zoya Matte Velvet Top Coat, I was a bit surprised it still looked a bit shiny.

Candy Corn Watermarble

Hello Everyone, Are you ready for all hallows eve? It’s strange but this is the first year I can honestly say no, it doesn’t even feel like Halloween to me. To enter into the spirit of things I did a candy corn inspired watermarble. Does anyone even enjoy eating candy corn?….For real though I wanna know.

Polishes used ​OPI Alpine Snow (base), Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Spots and Sweet Nectar.

Watermarble pattern, you will notice that the polish didn’t want to spread at the start, so I had to encourage it. Also when forming my bullseye I had to tap the glass a few time when the white or yellow wouldn’t spread. I hope this helps.

The Darkling Watermarble

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the dark side MUHAHAHAH!!!

Bring you another darkly luscious water marble, I’ve had this idea rattling around in my head for a while. I don’t want to tell you all the different polishes I tired so it didn’t become one big blob, or the variation of dropping polishes so the white came out looking white.

Polishes used ended up being all OPI, Alpine Snow (base), I Knead Sour-Dough, Keeping Suzie At Bay, Christmas Gone Plaid & Louvre Me Louvre Me Not.

It didn’t exactly turn out the way I wanted it to, what I wanted was one vein of white running through all the other colors, but the polishes were not willing to co-operate. In the end I loved it anyway, that’s the fun of marbling there is not one way of achieving the same thing.

Celebration Balloons!

Hello Everyone, for you folks still partying this weekend, here is a light and cheery manicure. Lets break it down, on pointer and Pinkie Maxfactor Fantasy Fire, on ring finger Dandy Nails Chilled Down (Indie polish).

The marble on the middle finger is NYC French White Tips (base), Orly Liquid Vinyl and Zoya Trixie. Stamped on Bundle Monster BM-H14 with Konad Black and White, I colored over the balloons on pointer with OP Sheer Tints and on ring finger I added extra dots with Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Pearly White.

Polishes used Maxfactor Fantasy Fire, NYC French White Tips, Orly Liquid Vinyl, Zoya Trixie and Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Pearly White

Konad black & white, OPI Sheer Tints.

OPI DS Titanium

Hello Everyone, this is a super quick, super easy 1-2-3 manicure.

Polish used is OPI DS Titanium I that stamped that with Bundle Monster DM-H01 & BM-H03 using Konad White, topcoated with Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

This is night shot of the sparklyness, perfect for that new years eve party.

Peppermint Swirl Watermarble

Hello Everyone, Merry Christmas!

“So leave a peppermint stick for old Saint Nick hanging from the christmas tree.” I’m not ready for Christmas but it’s here anyway so why not do something sweet.

These are just your standard swirl watermarble, but bad choice of polish there was bleeding/blending of the red color with the white so it’s not as crisp, so maybe pick a different red. Think wet candy cane (that’s probably a bit accurate it’s been raining for 4 days.)

Polishes used Opi Alpine Snow as base, OPI Christmas Gone Plaid & Zoya Livingston.

So Merry Christmas Everyone! Be merry and go easy on the egg nog 😀
